DESCRIPTION:A Code Sprint is a three day virtual or hybrid event\, where dozens of developers from around the world come together to code and share their ideas. The main goals of this code sprint are to support the development of OGC API Tiles\, Maps and Styles\, as well as software which implements those standards/specifications. In addition\, it also aims to create awareness about the standards/specifications and software projects. SUMMARY:Maps for a data-driven Europe at the European Parliament
DESCRIPTION:The event took place on the 29th of November and hosted by Cristian Bușoi\, Chair of the EP Committee on Industry\, Research and Energy\, and supported by EuroGeographics.  \nThe debate focused on discussing and demonstrating how geographic information addresses several issues; from the implementation of the Green Deal or multimodal transport strategies to providing efficient solutions for civil protection and disaster management bodies or responses to Covid-19. Please consult the agenda for further information.  \nEurope is leading the way in providing location data to link information and action across national boundaries to enable a sustainable\, safer and prosperous society. To achieve a successful digital transformation\, Europe will need to meet the demand for geospatial information which will continue to grow into the next decade. \nWe look forward to demonstrating next-level mapping for modern-day data infrastructures! \nBelow you may find presentations\, factsheets and videos from this event. \n\n\n\n# \nFACTSHEET / VIDEO / PRESENTATION\n\n\n\n1\n\nEuroGeographics \n  \nOpen Maps for Europe: a key for unlocking the value of authoritative geospatial information (Presentation) \n\n\n\n2\n\nThe National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information France \n  \nGeo Commons – The New Compass (Video opens in YouTube) \n“Geo-common” strategy supports major Lidar and land use projects in France (Factsheet) \n\n\n\n3\n\nThe Netherlands Cadastre\, Land Registry and Mapping Agency \n  \nDelivering the Green Deal (Video opens in YouTube) \nProviding an insight into potential of solar energy in The Netherlands (Factsheet) \n\n\n\n4\n\nGeneral Directorate for Cadastre Spain \n  \nBuilding stronger responses for civil protection actions (Video opens in YouTube) \nDemonstrating value of cadastral information in managing natural disasters (Factsheet) \n\n\n\n5\n\nOrdinance Survey Ireland \n  \nManaging Covid recoveries (Video opens in YouTube) \nData sharing platform at heart of national response to Covid-19 (Factsheet) \n \n\n\n\n6\n\nNational Geographic Institute Belgium \n  \nContributing to Belgian’s National Access Point for multimodal transport information (Video opens in YouTube)\n \nContributing to Belgian’s National Access Point for multimodal transport information (Factsheet) \n  \n\n\n\n7\n\nDanish Agency for Data Supply and Infrastructure \n  \nIntegration of government data across sectors (Video opens in YouTube) \nIntegrating government data across sectors – strengthening digital society (Factsheet) \n\n\n\n\n \n \n
