SUMMARY:INSPIRE KEN Webinar - Experiences on OGC API
DESCRIPTION:OGC API services are important for National Mapping\, Cadastre and Land Registry Authorities (NMCAs) as they provide standardized\, user-friendly\, interoperable ways to access and share geospatial data. \nBy adhering to OGC standards\, NMCAs can ensure their data is compatible with a wide range of applications and systems\, promoting transparency\, data sharing\, and informed decision-making across various governmental and public sectors. In addition\, OGC APIs support the development of innovative geospatial applications\, improving the accessibility and usability of spatial data for broader use cases. \nThe webinar aimed to share the experiences of NMCAs that already implemented OGC API services to NMCAs that are considering or planning the implementation. \nThe agenda was as follows: \n10.30 – 11.40 Introduction Marcin Grudzień \n10.40 – 11.00 Kadaster Netherlands – sharing data via OGC API’s\, Jeroen Hogeboom\, Kadaster Netherlands \n11.00 – 11.20 Implementation of OGC API’s in Kartverket\, with focus on Coverage services\, Thomas Ellett von Brasch\, Kartverket Norway \n11.20 – 11.40 Implementing OGC-API Features in the National Cartographic System of Spain\, Cecilia Poyatos Hernández & Marta Juanatey Aguilera\, IGN Spain \n11.40 – 12.00 Q&A using Sli.do \nWebinar Recording (Opens in YouTube). \n

SUMMARY:Members Webinar Series - OME2 Prototype Demo
DESCRIPTION:OME2 provides a foundation for future pan-European high-value datasets. \nIt is developing a new production process and technical specification for free-to-use\, edge matched\, interoperable data under a single open licence to create a prototype dataset covering 10 countries. The prototype is aligned to key EU Policy objectives and UN core geospatial data recommendations. \nIt is also providing enhancements to the five existing Open Maps For Europe datasets\, including the pilot Open Cadastral Map. \nThe two-year project is co-funded by the European Union. It is being delivered by a consortium comprising: EuroGeographics; National Geographic Institute\, Belgium; National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information\, France; Hellenic Cadastre; General Directorate for the Cadastre\, Spain; and Cadastre\, Land Registry and Mapping Agency\, The Netherlands. \nhttps://eurogeographics.org/open-maps-for-europe/ome2-progress/ \nDuring the first year of OME2\, we have seen major as well as minor progress in several of our datasets. During this webinar\, we present the key aspects from the past twelve months. The focus is on the recent release of the high-value large scale prototype developed by IGN France and styled by Idox. \nThe agenda of this webinar was as follows: \n\nWelcome and Introduction – Angela Baker\, EuroGeographics\nOME2 Progress Overview – Victoria Persson\, EuroGeographics\nDeep dive into the new Production process – Noémie Gremeaux\, IGN France\nDemo of the prototype with styling – Aimée Rossi\, Idox France\nQuestions & answers session via sli.do – Angela Baker\, EuroGeographics\n\nWebinar Recording (Opens in YouTube)

SUMMARY:TDKEN Kick off webinar - 2024
DESCRIPTION:The aim of the TDKEN is to exchange and share technical data knowledge amongst its members to advance solutions to existing obstacles in the production of pan-European datasets. The topics being considered in the TDKEN are harmonisation\, edge-matching\, generalisation\, quality and life-cycle management (up-dating). \nFollowing last year’s work and your input to the Technical Data Knowledge Exchange Network we invited you to a meeting which kicked off the TDKEN activities for 2024. \nThe online kick off meeting outlined the workplan for 2024\, exploring the methodology and approach that will be undertaken for each of the topic areas based on the feedback you provided during the TDKEN technical workshop and the baseline questionnaire. \nThis invitation was extended to interested EuroGeographics members and relevant stakeholders. \nThe webinar was presented by Victoria Persson and Carol Agius of EuroGeographics and the presentation can be found here. \n  \nWebinar Recording (Opens in YouTube) \n  \n

SUMMARY:Webinars from UN-GGIM: Europe webinar Toolbox for implementing the UN-IGIF - A practical discussion on putting the framework in action
DESCRIPTION:The overall aim of the webinar is to enhance the knowledge and understanding about the existing approaches to implementing the UN-IGIF. It will provide an overview of the tools available to help strengthen national geospatial capabilities – such as developing detailed Country-Level Action Plans or adapting specific elements of the nine Strategic Pathways. Elements of these approaches can be adopted depending on a country’s situation\, in terms of stakeholder collaboration\, funding\, expertise\, needs\, or data availability. This webinar builds on the previous webinar: An introduction to the United Nations Integrated Geospatial Information Framework (UN-IGIF) on 27 Sep 2023. \nFor the registration to the webinar please follow this link. SUMMARY:Joint EuroGeographics and EuroSDR Virtual Workshop on Geodata Discovery
DESCRIPTION:After a first successful edition in 2022\, Eurogeographics and EuroSDR jointly organized a second Geodata Discovery online workshop\, from 16/01/2024 13:30 to 17/01/2024 12:00. This workshop aimed at achieving a common vision of what discovery is nowadays\, thanks to exchanges between different perspectives on that field: public or private actors\, local or global\, GI specific or not. Optimizing the chance of potential users to find data relevant to their needs requires various tools and technologies that complement each other. The discovery process should also be more intertwined with current application development and data exploitation.  \nThe agenda can be found here and the abstracts are published here. \n  \n\n\n\nDay 1\nPresentation Title\nPresenter\nMB\n\n\n\n1.\nUpdates on the creation of pan-European geospatial datasets\nHannes I.
