EuroGeographics welcomes Geospatial World as its first Observer Member

EuroGeographics has welcomed Geospatial World as its first Observer Member, opening a new chapter in international collaboration between Europe’s national mapping, cadastral and land registration authorities and the global community.

The addition of Geospatial World to the not-for-profit association’s network signals a shared commitment to greater cooperation and recognises the growing importance of collective expertise and innovation in addressing challenges that cross national and organisational boundaries.

Sallie Payne Snell, Secretary General and Executive Director of EuroGeographics, said: “Geospatial information has a vital role to play in addressing global challenges, but its greatest impact comes when we work together.”

The new Observer Member category has been introduced to create a formal framework for knowledge exchange, cooperation and joint initiatives with organisations outside the Association’s core membership. It is intended to bring new expertise and perspectives into the EuroGeographics network while strengthening collaboration on shared challenges facing the geospatial sector.
