European Forum for Geography and Statistics Conference will be held in Helsinki, Finland, on October 16-18, 2018. EFGS 2018 conference will be the 11th conference on the integration of geography and statistics. The conference is hosted by Statistics Finland and the National Land Survey of Finland supported by the Statistical Office of European Union (Eurostat)

On the October 17, in parallel to EFGS conference in Helsinki, 15 participants from 10 countries held a meeting of the Policy Knowledge Exchange Network. Discussions was focused on the state of play of Public Sector Information (PSI) recast; Establishing Space Programme of the Union 2021-2027 and the EU Agency for the Space Programme Regulation
The Austrian Federal Office for Metrology and Surveying BEV organised the Common Vision Conference 2017 in conjunction with the 200-years-celebration of the Austrian cadastre.
