Geospatial platform in Finland – lessons learnt

Join us via webinar on Tuesday 5th November

Webinar on Lessons learnt from the Geospatial Platform Project in Finland will be held on Tuesday 5th November 2019 14:00-14:45 CET

From 2017 to 2019 the National Land Survey of Finland has been developing the Geospatial Platform. Project is now coming to an end and now it time to share the project’s insights with other European National Mapping and Cadastral Authorities and interested experts.

What have we learned from the project? Some of the key points include how to manage the data quality when dealing with municipalities, and how to build ecosystems together with data produces and data users. During the project also the data security and GDPR issues became more prominent. From the technological viewpoint the project has been developing different kinds of solutions for setting and managing persistent IDs, linked data, and automation of quality evaluation.

The project started with a survey on geospatial platforms in the other European countries. Now it’s time to discuss possibilities of future cooperation and work together to identify and solve the common issues.

Efficient use of spatial data for a better society – let’s do it together! Don’t miss the opportunity to learn and join us next Tuesday!
