The global situation with the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) has been developing rapidly over the last weeks with numerous new cases raising significant concerns at a global level. To ensure health and safety for all and those around us, the Organizing Committee of the Conference has decided to cancel/postpone the International Conference “National Spatial Data Infrastructure: Towards a Digital Society” until further notice.
The organizers are currently exploring the option of holding the conference later in the year.

International Conference "National Spatial Data Infrastructure: Towards a Digital Society".
This international conference is organized by the State Service on Property Issues of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SSPI) together with the UNECE Working Party on Land Administration (WPLA), World Bank, Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN, UN-GGIM, and UN-GGIM Europe.
The conference will discuss topics such as: the impacts of digital technologies from global, regional and national perspectives; and provide examples demonstrating digital transformation and good practices in the UNECE region with a focus on sustainable data sharing and utilization. These examples will be framed by progress on, and the linkages between, the emerging Integrated Geospatial Information Framework (IGIF), the INSPIRE Directive, and NSDIs being developed and managed by countries.
The conference will be held in English with simultaneous translation in Russian and Azerbaijani and vice versa.
